Biography
Roles and responsibilities: Coordinating institute data strategy, divisional support and strategic initiatives across the UK DRI.
Chris joined the UK DRI in November 2025, following four years in CNS drug discovery. In his previous role, he was a Principal Scientist and project leader, identifying therapeutic targets and managing drug discovery programmes across the preclinical pipeline.
Chris completed his PhD at the University of Reading and Pfizer, focusing on astrocyte biology in health and disease, and later held a Wellcome Fellowship studying frontotemporal dementia. Drawing on experience spanning experimental neuroscience, big data approaches, and industry drug discovery, Chris coordinates the UK DRI data strategy and contributes to strategic initiatives across the institute.
